International scientific symposium: reducing the burden of alcohol: focus on two scientific and public policy challenges | 3 december 2024

Evidence-based and effective strategies to reduce the burden of alcohol consumption are now well established. However, their implementation remains complex and challenging in many European countries. 

EuroHealthNet and Santé publique France organize an international scientific symposium on Tuesday 3 December 2024 in Brussels (hybrid format). 

During this symposium, two scientific subjects will be discussed: 

• How to take into account the latest scientific evidence to develop and promote low-risk drinking guidelines to reduce alcohol consumption? 

• The commercial determinants of health: impact on alcohol prevention policies and levers for public health action. 

International researchers, NGOs and scientific experts will share their experience.
